"We had a big turn out of 8 keen cyclists today despite the weather conditions which started with drizzle and went downhill from there.
Scott had chosen to lead us over the Feugh Bridge and immediately right up to the road
signposted Mill of Esslie.
Everyone was eventually defeated by the ensuing hill but
we noted ,at the top of it, that a large building site and foundations for a
substantial dwelling had appeared since our group was last there about 8 weeks
ago. We will monitor progress with interest on future rides!
We then turned right at the T junction and quickly
reached the road leading down to Bert McIntosh's Lochburn watersports
centre. This provided a long downhill section which the two Ians enjoyed so much
that they missed the right turning to Mill of Cammie and ended on the road to
Cairn o' Mount and had to cycle back up the main road from Strachan.
The rest of us enjoyed a leisurely return by back roads
to the Feugh Bridge again.
However all was forgiven as the whole party were reunited
at the Bridge of Feugh Restaurant where Americanos and fruit scones were the
"must have "
forage of the day."
